How long shipments from China take depends on many factors, most primarily the mode of shipping used and the country being shipped to. The following examples do not take into consideration the manufacturing time, only purely the shipping time from China to countries around the world. They also assume normal circumstances( No Force Majeure events like bad weathers , strikes, wars, congestion, pandemic etc.)
Generally speaking, this is how long shipments from China via the various shipping modes take:
By Sea Freight:
Shipment from China to Europe, 20–35 days
China to North America, West and East coast, direct liners 13–17 days, if there's one transshipment then 21–35 days
China to Australia (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne), direct liners 13–17 days, if there's one transshipment then 21–30 days
By Rail Freight:
China to European destinations: 15–30 days depending on the specific European country being shipped to
By Air Courier/Air Freight:
Air Courier generally takes about 4-7 days depending on the courier used (DHL is usually faster than the others) and the country being shipped to.
Air Freight generally takes about 8-12 days depending on the country being shipped to and whether door to door shipping is required
The following factors can also affect shipping time:
Where the destination is, far or close to China.
How often and how many shipping lines go to the destination.
Whether transshipping is required
Where the loading port is - whether it is a main port or small port; a river inland port or a seaport etc.
Destination handling capacity, customs clearance and document procedure speed etc
For door to door shipping then how far the destination address is from the port and whether the address is located in a remote area
Force Majeure such as weather, war, strikes, pandemic…..
